I would love a companion. I’m a pretty flexible person and I want to see literally every corner of Europe so I'm down for wherever you want to go. As I'm from NZ I am bound by the Schengen 90/180 day rule so if you're looking to travel with me for a long time please remember that. Also, I prefer to travel slowly, staying in one area for more than just a few days. I am on a budget and will nearly always go for the cheapest option available. I am not the sort of person who can stay still for very long and my preferred companion would be as crazy about the outdoors and adventure as me. I love to hike and camp and swim, including scuba. I recently joined HelpX after hearing about it from a host. I am looking for good matches where I could contribute the most service with my skills and as well as learning new skills. I am retired from a career in public service with a full pension which has allowed me to travel full-time for several years. I have traveled to more that 20 international destinations. My home base is in New Mexico, USA, where my elderly parents live. I check in on them between trips. I am a solo traveler. When I travel, I am more interested in meeting locals and learning about their culture rather than tourist attractions. I am dependable, tidy, hard working, not afraid to get my hands dirty, friendly, eager to learn new skills and customs, low-key, and open-minded. Ideally, I want to commit to volunteering a month at each location that offers the right opportunities beginning in 2025.
