We are a women’s collective growing aromatic herbs in the foothills of the Pyrenees. We are looking for help with weeding and harvesting our plants (lavender, rosemary, thym, savory etc), and turning them into products in our workshop. For info on our project - https://www.naturellementchouette.fR/). We generally ask for 4 hours work a day in exchange for meals and accommodation in our homes. There is plenty of space to put up tents or park vans, or you can stay in one of the houses in our eco hamlet. Our ideal helpers have some experience or love of gardening, or enjoy physical work, or like to live simply, close to nature. Work hours can be flexible with whole days off planned for exploring the area. There are lakes, rivers, mountains, all within easy reach, as are small villages with lots going on in terms of concerts and events over the summer. The food is mostly vegetarian but some meat occasionally appears on the table. Look forward to meeting you, Lesley

Hello helpers! We are a family living on a rural property near Lake Barrine, on the Atherton Tablelands. Brett is Australian, Caroline is French, and we have 3 children (5yo boy, 3yo girl, 6mo girl). We live a simple life. There's a lot of jobs to be done, so we wouldn't mind a hand at the moment. Jobs are mostly property maintenance and gardening. They include: - easy fencing (around chicken house and orchard) - weeding, cleaning out old gardens - helping Brett building a balustrade It doesn't matter if you don't have any building or gardening experience, as long as you are willing to have a go. All jobs are fairly easy and Brett will work with you most of the time. We will ask you to do about 4h of work a day, in the morning , 6 days a week. But it can be flexible, depending on our schedule. Our accommodation for you is a self contained small building with one bedroom, lounge/kitchen, verandah. The bathroom is separate, outside in a room a bit further with a bathtub, hot water...

Welcome to our quite road, were the neighbours regularly help each other with farming tasks. Join us at our favourite fishing beach (our crew of two vehicles usually go once a week). Surfing is an option when conditions are suitable and daily tasks are achieved. This lifestyle block farms cows and chickens. Goal is self sustainability. Garden and orchard is fledgling with room to grow and expert advisors (my whanau are nurserymen / orchardists). See the local sights while drawing and painting, in the 'plien air' tradition. Art easels and materials are supplied and visitors are welcome to be creative with the art studio space. Walk the dog 🐕 Visit the local art galleries for inspiration and socialising. Happy to help visitors improve speaking English. Nearby Intercity bus stop at Kaitaia Library - Te Ahu Centre. Male fisherman and surfer. A good guide. Art teacher and Landscape artist. I run a small hobby farm and studio. Decent Wi-Fi connection with satellite internet unlimit...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days p/week in a freedom loving and awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with moti...

Hi, I'm Grant, I've just bought a 1.47 hectrare lifestyle block in Otorohonga in the Waikato. I am currently living in Hamilton and traveling to the lifestyle block each day to work on it. I am open minded and enjoy meeting people from other countries. I work for myself working on race cars and work from home. I am looking for someone to help me develope my piece of land, this will involve building, fencing, planting etc. No need to have any experience as l will teach you what you need to know, you just need to have a good attitude and a willingness to help and learn. I have a13yo daughter ( so l prefer to have female helpers as they will sometimes need to share a room with her) who l have every 2nd weekend and half the holidays, she loves art and crafts etc. In return you will enjoy a great time, have a lovely warm bed, food, wifi etc. I also really enjoy showing people around the Waikato and love hiking, so if that's you then check out my references and get in touch. Our farm has a 2000sqm glasshouse that has a variety of strawberries, chillis and peppers that are grown using organic sprays and utilising predators under the IPM programme. We have not been on the farm very long and are learning as we go and we would love to share our experiences with others and learn off them as well. We are willing to open our home and farm to share our wonderful life to the right people that are positive and pro-active. We have 2 labrador dogs, Buddy (Chocolate Lab) Tui (Black Lab) an PJ (an amercian short haired cat) so being an animal lovers is a must. We have both travelled extensively throughout the world and we enjoy learning about other countries cultures and the awesome people in them. Come and stay starting TODAY 😊 or tomorrow Sunday 12th October. We can pick you up if needed. Hi 👋 we suddenly have availability for a short time, as our other fabulous helpers have gone to our holiday house at Bruny Island to have a well deserved rest! Important - You ideally need a car to stay at the forest property shown in pictures but not essential. We also have a nice house in the middle of Hobart if you are 1-2 girls and like doing household jobs. Tidying, laundry, vacuuming, also cooking if you like doing that. Plenty of time for sightseeing! So if you want to save money on food & accommodation. We would LOVE 💕 your help with some jobs. Enjoy a great forest experience with outdoor bath (and a real bathroom with nice hot shower) and BBQ, even a bonfire if you like. The forest location is at Margate 20 minutes from Hobart. We have been hosts for more than 10 years! The property is being sold so this property is only available for the next 2-3 weeks. You can stay at o...

My husband and I live on a lifestyle property in beautiful Pleasant Valley (just 10kms mountainside of Geraldine). You will have your own space - cottage accommodation ( 40 sqm cabin)which is just adjacent to our house). Our 12 acre property sits in the view of the Four Peaks Mountains and has trees, creeks, and a natural spring-fed swimming pool. We eat largely non- processed wholefoods homecooked meals, fresh veges and fruit. WE: WOULD LOVE SOME HELP from a builder - we are refitting an old bus and if you had skills to make a deck that would be awesome. We have all the tools. WOULD LOVE SOME HELP clearing gorge - sounds fun I know - but we have pocket of gorse popping up - so it cruising around with some loppers and cutting it back. WOULD LOVE SOME HELP pruning my fruit trees - actually quite a nice job in the warm spring sun. WOULD LOVE SOME HELP weeding - we have a number of weeds starting to spring up with the warm weather. We do have a dedicated cottage for our Helpx guests ...

I am in the Madonie Park- It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. . I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

Namaste! We welcome you to join our family of students and teachers living at a Buddhist School/Monastery in a national park. We are located just 10km from Kathmandu in a very peaceful forest with no traffic sounds, just birds chirping! We have 28 kids between the ages of 7 and 18 years old, all of whom live and study here. With the intention to help underprivileged children and to provide modern and Buddhist education, we serve kids from very poor areas, some without parents, and/or families struggling to survive so the school is a special place for them because it provides them with a family and an opportunity for a better future. Our students are very loving and kind to volunteers so you will very quickly be absorbed into our big family! We do not have any external financial support which we need to feed the kids and pay for teachers, so we must get creative in order to sustain our special school. The biggest help would be through teaching the kids but contributions in any of thes...

This farm is my new idea to build specially our inside than doing some physical day to day life, And my hobby are Planting trees, Farming, Hiking, welding, wood craft and photography also. You can join me with my newly open little cafe (restaurant with 100% organic foods) and organic farming fields. I love it very much. Because of nature going to dead soon. We have to do something for our mother nature. We live in beautiful hill top. Surrounded by many other little range of hills. The majestic trees that trickle the sky add a sense of calming perspective for those who use the space for spiritual wholeness. It has very beautiful flora and fauna including rocks. My place is very suitable for Yoga and meditation....

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. The best for us is to start by one week stay and see how is it going and if we get along,( 3.5 to 4 hours a day is fair, I think it's better to work in the morning as in the afternoon it's getting hot in summer) It would be better for you to have your own car (street park available) , to visit the Hakatere national park or travelling around on your time off. One double bed bedroom in the house (with separate door that you can come and go be private) with shared bathroom, Diner (and of course accomodation) would be provided in exchange of 3.5 to 4 hours a day (6 days on 1 days off, but you c...

We have space for Exchange Workers now at our homely hostel in Nelson and we'd love to hear from you. The atmosphere at the hostel is very friendly, warm (log fire and 5 new heat pumps) and caring. Good music (either ours or guests playing the guitars and/or ukeleles), lots of books and magazines and games. We encourage a social/off-line hour every night after chocolate pudding is served and there are always guests playing games, being creative and making music. We are a 5 to 10 minutes walk from town. Which for a small town has a lot going on - weekly markets, arts & crafts, music and theatre. Work is around up to 2 hours a day with one day off a week. We say minimum stay is 2 weeks but most stay a lot longer (sometimes many months) and now you get to keep a cool TBB Team T-shirt when you do!). In return for your work you get free accommodation, free breakfast & every night we serve up hot chocolate pudding and ice cream. Also free use of washing machine & free unlimited ...

My partner Peter and I live on a multiple occupancy community in the wonderful Promised Land near Bellingen in New South Wales. We have one hectare of gardens around our house and a self contained studio for guests/helpers. The studio has a queen sized bed and a single bed as well as an ensuite and kitchen. It is separate to the main house and has it's own deck. There are five other households on the total 39 hectares with a creek and swimming hole. We are negotiable about whether we provide accommodation only and it could be a mixture of having some meals together and/or providing basic food ingredients for you to cook for yourself in the self contained studio. We would like some help maintaining our native gardens and vegetable gardens. This could be two hours a day over five days per week or variations to suit. We have ducks and chooks and can supply fresh eggs as well. We have one dog. As we are 15 minutes out of town it is probably better to have your own transport although ...

This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, putting food by, animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside Jewel is a private sleeping cabin with a bathhouse and kitchen nearby, which may be shared by another new sleeper cabin called the seaside Dreamer. Welcome! We are Jacob & Fern. We live together with our 2 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! Jacob works as a gardener, is interested in spirituality, and enjoys strummin...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes west of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Our homestead is remote.  We are currently looking for physically fit self-starters who are open minded, love to be outdoors, want to unplug and would enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest.  We require a 1 month minimum stay.  If you have ever thought you might like to homestead or purchase raw land then our farm would be a good place to visit.  We...

I'm open to lovely souls coming to Stay in my home, and to assist a single mum with all the tasked of living a happy and healthy lifestyle.. Therr will be some very light cleaning, gardening, we have a big vegetable garden, and some small home duties, but mostly will be playing and having fun with my homeschooled daughter while I am busy. My daughter is 6.5 year old, we travel a lot and I also have a travellers retreat style guesthouse in Broome in the north of WA. We are very hard workers and would appreciate any assistance that could be given. We have a large top story house that our guest share with us for general living while providing newly renovated twin airconditioned container accomadation next to the main house so you can h...

We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features.

Hello! We would be delighted to host you. UPDATE. Hoping to host immediately from mid October. Thank you! Happy to host helpers through the winter months too! Mostly it's morning cleaning of our hostel and rental apartment - some days busy, some days more relaxed. Are you ready for the beautiful autumn leaves in the mountains? Enjoy the famous castle and mountains around us. Come and enjoy the cleaner air of the mountains. All of the local mountains are easy to access and there are many cultural activities in Matsumoto city. We are a small independent hostel located in the base city for the Japanese Alps. Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen workers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore.

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood.

Kia Ora I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have over 240 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also run smaller numbers of sheep. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from around 18th October 2024 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping and learning about our farming systems. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm! Separately, I have a sleepout studio on the farm to rent if you don't wish to do Helpx. Its ideal as a base for couple looking to explore the local area. We...
