Hi. I am hoping that some lovely travellers would like to stay in our home and help with some gardening and other household jobs. You will have your own double bedroom which has a lovely verandah opening onto the back garden. You also have your own bathroom . I’m happy to share our kitchen and food with you though I’m not always home to cook. We have loved our guests and happy to show you around or leave you to discover Port Macquarie yourself. We could accommodate you and in return would you be able to do some home cleaning and gardening. We live on a house block about 1km from the beach and near a bus stop from town of Port Macquarie, which is about 5 kms. , I am very flexible and would appreciate if you could spend just 3 to 4 hours a day helping .I'm happy to pick you up from the bus or the train at Wauchope. Hope to hear from you. Helen and Michael Roebuck

We like doing a lot of things. Drew runs a tree business here, and Carmen works as a Registered Nurse. We spend a good chunk of our free time outside, building up our little homestead and planning what to grow next. What we need help with: Homestead Chores, depending on visitor's capabilities. We have two kids, two dogs, one cat, 11 chickens, an expanding garden, a whole forest and many native plants. Busy with work, we need help with household and outdoor tasks. This includes cooking meals, making bread, preserving food, planting/weeding/harvesting garden spaces, building/repairing fences, processing firewood, mowing fields, small engine maintenance, chicken care, and anything else that may come our way - we are always ready to work with helpers, to find where their skills will be the most valuable. We are looking for a competent human who has a positive attitude, willingness to learn and good work ethic. We are eager to share our experiences and teach people the ins and outs of of...

Hi - Kenny & Lizzy live on a lifestyle block on the shores of the beautiful and enchanting Ohiwa Harbour. We could do with some help to keep the place ticking along...we have a small olive grove which requires love & work, plus feeding chickens, walking dog, grass cutting (ride on mower), painting, operating scrub cutter, gathering firewood, spraying weeds (its a necessity here). We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. We are currently in need of help from someone with DIY skills, decorating and gardening. We would welcome, single people, a couple, or two friends. N.B. If you are used to staying up late at night and getting up late then our place would really not be suitable for you. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables and fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We are both retired teachers that would be happy to help you improve your knowledge of English. We would provide accommodation and full board, three meals a day, in exchange f...

We are a easy going couple in our late thirties and early fourties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly 9 years ago. As we now have a 7 year old gorgeous wee girl, and a month old buba, I work and run my own business and my partner running his family business, we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream. We have a couple of caravans and some cabins onsite. We are a few minutes from the Kaipara harbour, 20 mins from Mangawhai beach, and half an hour from the famous Waipu caves and beautiful coastal beaches. We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike/race car track, woodshed, yards and more. We have built some new cabins for us to live in and our shack we used to live in is now a self contained helper quarters, with kitchen, dart board and tv. However with the...

Hello! How are you? My name is Andy and I've been hosting people for years now with Helpx and other organisations. I appreciate spending my time with people who like me want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who are self transparent, who care about others and who want to learn more about themselves. I have learned a lot from my time hosting people and my journey continues. I am a well-educated person who believes life is a continual learning experience. I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good movie and watching documentaries. I am interested in matters of environmental sustainability, climate change, current affairs, psychology, history, politics, philosophy and technology. I have a good sense of humour, I like to share a joke and tell a story. I like to laugh and of course to have as much fun as life allows me. I live here with my partner Joe who is also an experienced traveller. We accept people from a...

I am in the Madonie Park- It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. . I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

We prefer helpers who can stay for at least 8 weeks, though depending on our needs and the time of year we will consider a shorter stay. We are a small market garden, providing vegetables, berries, herbs and edible flowers to our Local food Co-op, a retail farmers market, restaurants and families in the Nelson area. My husband and I have been running the market garden for 13 years. Gardening experience is not essential; we prefer a desire and willingness to learn. Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles. Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

Do you want to gain experience in many fields, including how to run a hostel, organize events, and lead people and yet get many useful and memorable connections from all around the world while being able to party every day and night? You could and you will become part of our small family of international backpacking brothers and sisters. It is a good opportunity to learn about Slovak traditions and history if you’re interested and practice the language (like ordering beer and Borovička ;)). We will show you the city, the best places to get a beer, to relax, to visit and see, and, of course, to party. We are two very social hostels in the city center of Bratislava, one is the Wild Elephants hostel, and the other one is the Urban Elephants hostel. It doesn't matter which one you are needed the most, the main difference is where you sleep, eat and work, since we party, do activities and hang out together. While working he...

Living in a remote area with my hunting dogs by the coast of Northern Norway and sometimes in a cabin in Maze in Finnmark . The weather is deciding what to do here and the nature gives food and peace. Among the things we do here is hunting and fishing, picking berries, mushrooms and more. The winter is long with a lot of snow and the work is snow shoveling, woodwork with chainsaw and snowmobile Dog training is all year round and hunting has it seasons. There is also small tasks around houses and housework, cooking and cleaning. I think i live in the most beautiful part of Norway and with the best possibility to do outdoor activities, like paddeling, skiing, hiking, climbing, whale watching, nature photography and more. This is also a good spot to see the Northern Lights and midnight sun. https://youtu.be/JBo1yh45tAY Obs : I do not host vegans and vegetarians because of my fishing and hunting gives most of the food i can share .

My home lies a bit remote and hidden in a forest glade. This unique and magic place is inhabited with wildlife and spirits. I want to create a diverse permaculture garden for self-reliance and a connection to the wilderness around it. I aim for a simple, alternative and self-sufficient lifestyle away from the system. Join me living a wilderness life out of the comfort zone and away from the digital speed of today. This is a place for experiencing a different way of life, enjoying and finding yourself in nature. I do not ask for work. I do ask that you visit as a friend and offer to contribute to what is required for daily living. You can help on different chores and I am pleased to share my knowledge about planting, composting, mulching, mowing, garden care, harvesting, cooking, preserving, maintaining, building, woodworking skills, herbalism, collecting mushrooms, botany, chopping wood, bushcrafting and survival skills, meditation .. Bienvenue ! I'm Aimeric, a 37 years old adventurer, food, sports and nature lover. After traveling and volunteering around the world for a few years I came back to my homeland where I started settling my "best place". I'm working on a family Land, in Ariège, Couserans, at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains and the Spanish border. (Around 1 hour drive south of Toulouse) I settled a tiny house there and take care of a fruityard and a vegetable garden, trying to regrow a forest and being more and more sustainable. I need all type of help in the garden and buildings (weeding, planting, conservation, cuttings, terrasse, greenhouse, water pound, bamboo, mud, grafting...) I'm looking for knowledge as sewing branches, drawing with a pyrographer, house plants, pottery, plants multiplication . In summer I do dry fruits with a solar dryer ... For the accommodation, I have an extra mattress and a couch or you can camp in a tent in the field. I usually wake up with...

We run an intensive internship program for people interested in working with huskies in an arctic environment. The training program is an extension of the system we have put in place for paying clients who want to participate in the husky lifestyle for short periods of time. Many of our interns go on to work with us in a paid capacity in future years having completed a systematic training program that covers all aspects of the work. Others simply experience an unforgettable season of life in the arctic which we hope that they will look back on with fond memories for the rest of their lives. Ultimately, we offer the internship training opportunity because we haven’t seen anything quite the same, elsewhere. How else does someone from the normal world get a foot in the door to this amazing lifestyle and grow real and transferable life skills in the process? How else do we develop the next generation of husky handlers and interns? It takes many months – if not years - to grow compete...

Hi there, I’m Craig. I have a beach house on the south west coast of WA at Windy Harbour that I am trying to complete building so it is suitable for short term accommodation. I own and operate a business in Northcliffe and travel between there and windy Harbour atm. Windy Harbour is an off grid, holiday and fishing village in an A class reserve within D’Entrecasteaux national park, on the rugged south coast of Western Australia. It is a great base for exploring local beaches, forests, hiking, camping, surfing and the like. It is close to Manjimup, Pemberton and similar south west towns that offer seasonal farm work. Currently I require some help with general housework, maintenance, cooking and gardening help. If you have a flair in the kitchen, regardless of cultural or dietary preferences it will be warmly embraced. I’m a lover of any food someone else prepares. There is also the opportunity for paid work at my retail business location for those with appropriate visas. So general...

Come and experience life in the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert. I'm Auduh. I'm a Bedouin from Wadi Rum Village where I grew up and am now living with my family. I work in tourism. We run a traditional Bedouin camp for visitors. There's much to be seen and done, as we are providing desert tours as well. Our life is all about giving the guests in our camp the best experience of Wadi Rum. We will be happy to take you with us during these activities, so you get the chance to see the Wadi Rum not from the tourist's perspective, but from the Bedouin's ... I am very experienced in hospitality for tourists and doing tours around the desert, it's the technical side where I'm struggling. Therefore, I need help in creating and maintaining an online presence for my business. Everything from creating a website to setting up and teaching me how to maintain profiles on various booking platforms. You do not have to be an expert in IT or a SEO manager, it's enough if you can help me out with the very bas...

In return you have free use of kayaks and bikes and although its best if you have a car, we can provide transport when possible in and out of town...15 mins from Opotiki, 20 mins from Whakatane..5 mins from beach. You'll have your own privacy in our cosy sleepout and of course we have free wi-fi. We do eat a lot of VEGETARIAN food, but cater for meat lovers too. We usually live in the SUNNIEST corner of NZ , have great beaches, good surfing, wonderful bush walks and the water is warm from November until the end of April. **NON smokers only thanks ••stay with us if you LOVE the outdoors as opposed to life t...

As with any volunteer project, accommodation an...

We are looking for some help during lambing/lamb rearing eg August/September maybe into October. We are a family sheep and beef Farm close to Waipukurau . I am a Vet but I work most of the time on the Farm during lambing so we do a very intensive lambing beat as well as reviving/rearing all of our orphan lambs/some triplet lambs + neighbours lambs.(170 last year on an automatic milk feeder) . Nil experience required. You would help us with the lambs and in exchange you get food, accomodation, a car to use and maybe some pocket money depending on the amount of work you want to do. Also we would teach you anything you need to know about lambing difficulties and all the skills re lamb reviving and nurturing back to health and basic rearing principles as well as you'd also get the chance to learn from my husband who's the main Farmer and looks after the singles/twins and he does the other odd Job on the Farm during this time .. This is an amazing opportunity to really dive into the...
