Hi there, and welcome to Christchurch, We have a charming, but largish, garden and an old weatherboard house and are giving them both some loving attention. We are interested in help - mostly with gardening and house maintenance, and some indoor housework - in exchange for food and board. We are keen to hear from someone looking for around a 3-5 days stay. Happy to be flexible around hours (e.g. can be 4 hours work per day or 1 day on then 1 day off). We are friendly and welcoming, and both work from home for some of the time. Our house is close to the Christchurch CDB and the Port Hills, and is near 3 major city bus routes. Own comfortable room and fast WiFi available. We have one friendly Jack Russell terrier. We have both traveled and lived overseas, and enjoy meeting people from different countries. We look forward to being part of your NZ experience.

*Help particularly needed in early July, September and December. I will be away and there is too much work for 1 person alone who also works full time. Someone who is experienced with horses would be great.* The property is a small Beef cattle farm on the mid-north coast. Located 40 minutes drive from Port Macquarie town and beaches and 20 minutes from Wauchope and the nearest train station. This place is a really good option for someone on their way between Sydney and Brisbane who wants to break the trip for a few weeks. We are a couple with an adult son who is away at University. We have horses, a goat, chickens, ducks,3 dogs and cattle. We have a 2nd farm near Kempsey where we run cattle so sometimes we go over there to work as well. My husband and I both work from home although sometimes I have to spend days away doing fieldwork. We would expect between 3-5 hrs work a day, depending on what needs to be done, with 1 day off each week, usually a weekday, a lift into town can...

We run a beef cattle stud of about 400 Herefords 50km south of Fox Glacier. A lot of stock work is done on horseback. The family also operate a coffee cart at the Bruce Bay beach just down the road. Close to the sea, mountains, river and lakes. Good fishing and hunting at the back door. Help around the house and garden is always appreciated, as well as help with all other general farm tasks. I would like to point out that this is farm producing livestock primarily for meat. We are also a largely carnivorous household. We would prefer your first contact with us to be by e mail. You have seen our listing ,we would like to see yours. Current tasks : Drenching cattle, riding round on horseback to check and shift stock, Calf marking - tattooing and tagging ,fencing, maybe some tractor driving Horse riding experience an advantage. We always have fences to repair. Also the routine stock shifting and general farm work. And there is always the need to shoot another deer for fresh meat...

We need volunteers for gathering season from 10th of September to 10th of October!! The sheep are in the mountains now, but after a nice summer enjoying green grass, we need to bring the flock back to the barn before the weather gets bad. So we'll have to go to the mountains to gather and sort them. It's the best moment to enjoy the view of the fjord ! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is also listed on the helpX. Send me (Caroline, who runs the helpX) a message! You can also message the farmer directly via Facebook. Alexander Flumbri is the Facebook account, named after Beggi the farmer's cat! Profile picture is of a cat as well! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We more than 500 sheep and all possible trouble that can be connected to sheep: fixing fences in the summer, gathering sheep in the autumn, feed them and shear them in the winter and then lambing season in spring. ...

The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away, Byron is another 15 minutes from there. We have an edible forest garden on a permaculture design and are returning the rest of the land to rainforest. We have a large variety of native flora and fauna. Native birds, lizards, bees, frogs, wallabies and micro-bats thrive here. We have a waterfall from Nightcap NP, which has blue crayfish living there. There has been significant landslips around us, which we are now replanting with hardy natives and indigenous fungi. Next to the house we have a made natural water hole with native frogs. Dragon flies dance around it in summer, surrounded by ferns, pawpaws, tamarillo, and Avocado trees and the inevitable weeds. We have a toadinator to attract cane toads so we can catch and humanely kill. We are not aiming to be self-sufficient in food, rather to have an a...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 and has b...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Yes, we are looking for you if you are between the ages of 16 to 30 ish. Welcome to our page. Next place available now. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. When the calendar shows we have Wwoofers, it is not necessarily accurate, sometimes people cancel at short notice. Your best option is to ask anyway as we really could have a place just for you :) If you are between 16 and 35 years old, we look forwa...

Devon - We would love some help with the garden, clearing, weeding, strimming and mowing, tidying, tending our vegetable garden, chopping firewood, fencing, general repairs. Helping with chickens. Some house cleaning on wet weather days. Sometimes the work outside can be quite heavy so you must be strong and fit, and willing to work in all weathers! We live in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are a retired couple but still run our musical instrument repairs business and we are always in need of some help. We love to play traditional folk music in local pubs and also for morris dancing. We live in an old cottage in a village with a coffee shop and a pub. We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical. We have 2 ‘rescue’ dogs - a friendly terrier and a Romanian street dog who takes a little while to get used to new friends. We anticipate help for approx 5 hours per day, with a 15 min tea break, so overall 25...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help/day for the room only and provide your own food, or we can provide meals for you, and you help us for four hours/day. Also: Sometimes there is a possibility of renting our room in exchange for some few hours per week plus dollars. Our home is surrounded by nature and some of Nelson's best mountain biking and walking tracks. We are two friendly people, some chickens and a cat. Our home is in easy walking distance of Nelson city centre, but it is quiet and private. It's like being in the country. There's a good mix of things to do: Looking after garden and trees, house and each other, making music, preserving fruit, generally enjoying life. We can talk to you in English, French or German. We like to share meals with helpers. We love to feed you (and love being cooked for by you, too!). If you want to teach us a song from your country, that would make us happy. The Most Important thing we hope for in a Helper is that they want to...

Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping and learning about our farming systems. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm! Separately, I have a sleepout studio on the farm to rent if you don't wish to do Helpx. Its ideal as a base for couple looking to explore the local area. We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

This is an old coaching inn with letting rooms, a bar and meal service. It is in a remote area, so best for people at one with nature, two friends or a couple would be great, but single people will be considered. The offer is 3 meals a day, the occasional beer or wine, a double bedroom with heating and a shared bathroom, we also have tents and a caravan if we have a few Help X at once,. My family will endeavour to take any helpers into town where possible or local places of interest. I can collect from the bus station or train station. The nearest being Galashiels or Lockerbie. There is also a bus service hourly from Edinburgh to Peebles, where we can collect you, Or you are welcome to make your own way. There is the opportunity to do a few hours paid work, providing you have permission to work in the UK. In return (Help x) I would like 5hrs work, with 2 full days off, the help would consist of animal care, feeding chickens and ducks, walking the dogs, gardening, painting, prepari...

I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners. Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like to invite...

We have 10 boats that can be used to improve your sailing skills and coaching is also available. The primary project is the relaunch of the Sunflower Foundation 70' high-performance trimaran that is used to show large groups that you don't need fossil fuels to travel fast across the water. It is the first of a fleet of trans-Atlantic ferries. We also have a free junior sailing program. reducetheuse.org We could use more help with cleaning, cooking, painting, internet, and fundraising. Accommodations are private staterooms on various sailboats. We eat well and have a great time. Sailing is fun!

We more than 500 sheep and all possible trouble that can be connected to sheep: fixing fences in the summer, gathering sheep in the autumn, feed them and shear them in the winter and then lambing season in spring. ...

GROWING FOOD - BUILDING HABITAT - REWILDING Educating and investing in the good We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay.

Kia Ora I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have over 240 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also run smaller numbers of sheep. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from early August 2024 onwards.

Dear helpers The blueberry harvest starts around 20 June, so we need a lot of help. We use the berries to make jam, syrup and sorbet ice cream. By the way, our pool is ready! This is a small old farm with a lot living space for rent. We have 6ha land to gardening, for animals and forest. 2 Highland cattle mothers and 1 calf are on the pasture. We are bio-gardening for self-needing or for transformation our products: marmalade, vegetable salt, Pesto …Here are growing apple trees, pears and stone fruit trees. We have blueberries too (400kg) which is a specialty our region. They are ripen in July! We have location and sometimes are groups with disability here. They enjoy the dog Milou and the 3 cats. In the pounds we have fishes. In the winter season, we are occupied with the transformation our products, or often prepare the firewood and renovation work. Remiremont a small city, is 5 km from here. We look forward to get to know new interesting people. Yamina and Christoph
