Our family property is in a very, very beautiful part of Australia, right at the Southern base of Mount Warning. It is surrounded by 3 World Heritage National Parks and is a highly pristine, tranquil and secluded wilderness environment. Our property is 100 acres of mostly forested land, it has a creek, walking tracks, wildlife and gorgeous views out over the National Park mountains. We have a small cleared area where we have our house, a cabin, a camping area, 2 dams, 2 greenhouses and a syntropic system. We also have spaces set aside for future market gardening and commercial hemp cultivation. We love living and working here! We are able to provide the 88 day visa extension allowance, for disaster recovery assistance. We are a family who are very interested in industrial hemp cultivation, syntropic gardening, regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices. One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. The weather is warming up now so there is lots to do outside in the yard. I'm not planting a vegetable garden this year so I'd like to clean up the area, fencing, painting etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation,...

NON SMOKERS ONLY! Short-term Helpx vacancies currently available from 17th November 2024. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me mostly in my home with cleaning, tidying & housework, with a bit of gardening, yard work, weeding and generally trying to make the place a bit more organised and tidy! Due to my busy life and work commitments (I work part time as an entertainer on the ship 'Spirit of Tasmania' so I am often away for a few days at a time) I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food, .so I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If that sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact me! My garden needs weeding and loving care, and my house is a bit cluttered, untidy and chaotic, so I need YOUR help to keep things neat, clean and tidy. Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, and ...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the helps I would like to ask to you, those who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. I, 66 years old male, not vaccinated for COVID-19, have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and Carole is managing that. There’s some cleaning of the flat times. We have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where we live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. Currently have availability for short and long term capable volunteers. There is a cabin with a woodburner and a self contained one bedroomed holiday cottage with kitchen /living room, shower room and wood burner…in exchange for 12 to 15 hours work per person a week. This leaves you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the peace and beauty of this fairly remote area.Volunteers are required to provide their own food and cook their own meals. A donation towards wood and electricity may be required. Please enquire for more details. You will need to be self reliant, particularly if not having own transport, as this is a remote rural area. Welcome! We are Jacob & Fern. We live together with our 2 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! Jacob works as a gardener, is interested in spirituality, and enjoys strummin...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. Ballintaggert is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton Tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus and hundreds of bird species. We enjoy hiking and exploring far north Queensland. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. 1 or 2 people needed to help with garden and cooking, possibly painting or other DIY, depending on weather and your skills. Dog walking and helping with boot sales good fun to do. Also would love to have some Christmas help, I'm doing Christmas day (English traditional style) probably for about 10- 15 people, so will need kitchen and serving help on that day and plenty to do leading up to Christmas and after. Obviously plenty to eat and drinks!! I'm particularly up for a couple or 2 people sharing. General information.... I'm middle 70's, I've retired from the farm in Lanjaron and have bought a house with a garden in a lovely little village called Aceqias in Lecrin Valle, not too far from Granada or the coast. I have realised that although I've downsized, considerably, I'm not young enough to do all the gardening and still have plenty of jobs I can't manage myself so decided I still need helpers. There are beautiful walks in the valley or the mountains for the daily dog walking, T...

*Help particularly needed in December. I will be away and there is too much work for 1 person alone who also works full time. Someone who is experienced with horses would be great.* The property is a small Beef cattle farm on the mid-north coast. Located 40 minutes drive from Port Macquarie town and beaches and 20 minutes from Wauchope and the nearest train station. This place is a really good option for someone on their way between Sydney and Brisbane who wants to break the trip for a few weeks. We are a couple with an adult son who is away at University. We have horses, chickens, ducks,3 dogs and cattle. We have a 2nd farm near Kempsey where we run cattle so sometimes we go over there to work as well. My husband and I both work from home although sometimes I have to spend days away doing fieldwork. We would expect between 3-5 hrs work a day, depending on what needs to be done, with 1 day off each week, usually a weekday, a lift into town can be arranged. Accommodation is in...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a B&B with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and the first barn into a gite. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. We live on a lovely rural lifestyle block five minutes drive from the lovely township of Cambridge. A very picturesque area and so handy to lots of interesting places. I am a Riding Instructor/Coach and we run a riding school on our property. We are very animal orientated and apart from horses we have a dog, one cat and a large garden and property. So always need help around the place with maintenance and general gardening and sometimes little building projects. We offer a nice one bedroom unit that is totally for your private use. It has its own bathroom, kitchen and lounge, TV, internet etc in exchange for 4/5 hours help per day. We will also provide tasty healthy evening meals, and you will be welcomed into our family. We have three adult children who no longer live at home and four grandies who come and stay. We are an easy going couple and love good conversations over a nice meal, learning about other people, their travels and lifestyles and sharing our home and our gorgeo...

Hey we are looking for someone to come stay and help with gardening and painting for 3 hrs a day in exchange for your own room in our warm house with a bath, backyard, deck and wifi. Flexible about when work is done. At the moment jobs to do.. paint bedroom, trim hedges, garden prep, move wood, water blasting and other fun wintery jobs. Could host up to 2 people though we have just one spare room with one double bed. We are a small family... just myself, my son and our overly loving cat. We are away from the house a lot so would suit someone who enjoys their own space. When we are home we like to take baths, play with the LEGO and draw pictures. I am studying from home a couple days a week. We like to cook food and eat food and watch the great british bake off. We like pottering in the garden, learning new things and listening to music. I like live music and comedy and can point you to nice beaches and pretty parks around the city. We are keen to share our space and meet some new p...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 30. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely share with local flora and fauna. In this way, there will be enough for us and enough for the animals around us. To do this we have created a sustainable way of living that includes holiday...

Hi fabulous help-xers! We have an opportunity for a couple, or a small group of helpx to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 10, 12 and 14) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with getting our beautiful riverside accommodation business up and running whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Hello there, I have available A place for a helper in exchange for some work. Not very demanding work, but it would still be helpful if you know how to think a bit. I am a quadriplegic. In the yard of my house I have a single room cabin. This is a suitable place for a traveler to rest their head at night. In exchange for 3 work sessions of 4 hours each week, you may enjoy the splendor of the cabin. It is very near the beach and extremely near a creek and a very nice place to be. The role required is a combination of reading and observing. I do exercise at home and those 3 days a week, if you take them on, you will be assistant to a regular employee of mine. It is extremely straightforward So, if you can read and write English, are reasonably strong, and think that 12 hours of work a week spread over Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons (usually) is a fair place to pay for a week of accommodation in a very nice place, please get in touch. N.B: During the day several days a wee...

Having moved from a small Organic farm on the edge of town into a new home in Raglan in late December 2023, a new adventure begins. The views over bush and farms from this location is so lovely and really quiet for an urban setting so close to the village. I am on the edge of retirement still enjoying meeting people from a wide range of places and life experiences. Hosting WWOOFers for 30 years has been so enjoyable. Music, conversation and laughter - important for healthy friendships. The vision now is to create an Urban Permaculture Food Forest. The garden needs lots of input that we can create together. So a combination of activities is on the agenda. Enthusiastic helping hands with mulch spreading, weeding and planting and some light construction of infrastructure such as frames for vines and espaliered fruit trees. In return you have use of and . Mine is a non-smoking, drug free home with lots of good conversation and laughter ☺️ All meals and loft bedroom in return for 4 hours ...

I`m on the lookout for a strong male (or two), or a couple, for a few weeks or more. (Some have stayed for much longer.) I'd love to have someone, anytime from now, to help me with general garden stuff, and bits and pieces of projects. Always something new to do here. No skills is fine, just a bit of strength and willingness, but some handy-man skills would be useful too. I also would sometimes love some help with a bit of house maintenance /cleaning and brush cutting etc. I live in a beautiful silent forest valley dwelling with about an acre of garden. It`s a wildlife refuge abundant with bird and wild life. It's 7-8 mins from charming Mullumbimby with it`s farmer`s and general markets and cafe culture. Stuff for young and older 25mins, from beautiful Byron Bay and 20 from Brunswick heads, so lots of beaches and surf etc Also lots of walks. I would like someone who can speak English as there will be lots of communication involved. It's definitely best to have a car. You`ll have...

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are back on HelpX again! We have a small block just up off the end of the Canterbury plains, surrounded by rolling hills. We have a cosy 3 bedroom house that faces the sun and has 2 wood burners, set well back from the road with lots of established trees. Bill is recently retired and works at projects on the block, with time away sailing. Marion works for the Department of Conservation, with her field season running from October to February involving trips into the back-country of 10 days at a time, and working from home 3 or 4 hours a day when not in the hills. We have two dogs, a German Shorthaired Pointer called Lachie, and Piko, a collie-cross who we are looking after for a few months. We also have chooks, and pet pigs. We are heavily into re-vegetating our property with native plants that Marion raises from seed. We are quite a laid back couple, keen trampers, and into cooking good food. Jobs include weeding, planting, potting-up natives, and other jobs as they come up. Bil...

Cwrt y Cylchau is in a wild and beautiful area on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains. The stone farm house and outbuildings are situated in five acres of sheltered and peaceful land in a valley in the hills.

Accommodation for one or two helpers, in our beautiful circular stone and ...

We are a family living in the beautiful village of Herand in the middle of Hardanger. We live close to the fjord and have an accounting firm and a software company that we live off of + some rental of beds in the summer. We have a small greenhouse and a small farm where we have some vegetables. Summer is a busy time and we need 2-3 positive people to help us with different work. We live by the harbour, and have a small farm 2 km away. We have boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. You can use a cabin in the mountains if you wish. The area is well suited for walking or cycling. Normal working hours are 4-5 hours per day.

Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We are a couple, not young, work in the city, and live on a small farm. Our farm is not a business, but just a quiet cozy place to live away from the bustle of the city. Our pets are the few horses and dogs from the shelter. It has a gas stove, shower, washing machine, kitchen, etc. We buy foodstuffs and you cook for yourself. - Benefits: health insurance for the long-stay helpers - Help needed: gardening, animal care, general maintenance, some small DIY projects, farmstay help - We can teach you how to work with horses and dogs, how to take care of the garden, composting and preparation of various soil mixtures, ecological farming, finishing work, carpentry, plumbing, work with electric and gasoline power tool...
