We are a couple with grown up children so we gout space to have up to 5 people stay and work with us at our organic farm. I am a cook and my partner is a teacher and landscape engineer. We work with vegetable production, in greenhouses and outdoor. In the summertime we have tomatoes, egplants, peppers, chillies, beans, mm in our greenhouses and different vegetables in the field. We need help for the farm work, and traditional construction work on different parts of the buildings. We have bicycles here for our guests so you can discover the surroundings. Odense is 17km away and the city of Kerteminde, by the sea, is 5km from our place. We like to have people around from all over the world, not only to get some help, but also to enjoy an cultural and social exchange. Hope to meet you soon Annette & Martin

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing to complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We offer homestay experience. We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or train to go further afield. We also like to explore the area and show it to our visitors. We are located 10 km from Spai...

Hi Helpers! Let's enjoy 2023 (French is following below :) ) There`s still a loooooooot of work to improve our sweet home in countryside, which is mainly a little hamlet itself. You can join and help to take care of the garden, improve the housing, making every kind of works (building, wood-cutting, hard gardening and whatever...). Actual priorities are to create a vegetable garden, vegetation was growing wildly from 20 years, building dry stones walls and stairs in the garden (there's a lot of declivity), storing heating wood for winter and lime plastering the external main house walls... My partner Viki is permanently at home too. As a ceramist, she's got a lovely workyard in a partly already fixed building ! She doesn't speak much english... so it's better if u have at least a few basic french tomake it more confortable for everyone. We`d be happy to welcome you as friends and of course... life is not only working! Chilling, having walks, enjoying countryside, cooking togethe...

Are you a couple (two people) who would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and has hosted HELPXers for over ten years it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley 11km from Midland and 15km from the airport. There are 3,000 vines in the vineyard, a large house we live in, a machinery shed and a winery/distillery on the property. There is a large spacious room for TWO people with a double bed attached to the house. Applications for stays are open now. Mature couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who want experience in distillery, vineyard and winemaking work. During the season generally, there are outdoor activities, ie winery and vine work plus gardening if it is not raining or too HOT. Be prepared to cook meals for everyone. Being able to drink organic wine is highly recommended. If you are a fast fo...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We can sign off your second year visa 88 days for bushfire recovery. Prefer long stays. Location is arguably the most beautiful place in Victoria, with Rolling hills, lake, rivers and creeks. Suited to more adventurous people that are open minded, and those that want to live a bit wild and free. Abundance of good food, lots of animal noises (esp barking dogs and crowing roosters) and can be chaotic at times with clutter, kids, animals and some hectic days. Can also be spiders around, and house is messier than average. Probably not suited to people that have had a very glamorous privileged sheltered life and lack adventure. You will become part of our family. We sometimes butcher our own meat (but not often), so not for the faint hearted. We manufacture wooden poultry incubators, as well as breeding and showing cattle, poultry and large dogs. Run a herd of miniature belted Galloway cattle on 2 properties (Georges creek, Tallangatta) in a very scenic pristine beautiful quiet location i...

Rien de pretentious, 3 hectares au bout de monde et une mode de vie quasi autonome. depuis forte longue temps je voulait pas participer au auto esclavagisme que a venu not...

We live in a beautiful small hamlet nestled in the hills of central Portugal. There are four houses which until recently lay abandoned for 60 years. The river Pera runs through the valley (with some great swimming spots) and a spring delivers our drinking water. We, Miguel and Shobha, live here with our twelve year old son, Saul, and nine year old daughter, Anaya, and are restoring part of the hamlet and reclaiming the land. We run a syntropic agriculture reforestation project and provide a retreat and workshop space. Helpers are needed for a vast array of tasks! These include landscaping, clearing, cleaning, cooking, gardening, tree-felling, pointing, dry-wall restoration, helping take care of guests when we have retreats running ... and more! Accomodation is either in tipis, domes or a self-contained room. The set up is basic but comfortable. We have a solar set up for electricity & wifi. We will also provide 3 nourishing meals. We ask for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week, plus...

Hello, I am back in action and would welcome your help in selling stuff and sorting my house in readiness for leaving and heading off to live in Australia. `I welcome the happy return to HelpX normality of many years after experiencing an unfortunate scamming incident which took a lot of money off me! Apple skills, fluent English and imagination as well as flexibility, enjoyment of such research would be great. There may be also a bit of gardening thrown in. And DIY skills would be helpful, if you have the abilities and brain-tick: I have an abundant supply of tools. . I live in a very comfortable Edwardian house just a minute's walk from East Finchley Northern line tube. In a leafy suburb, near to ancient woods and round the corner from a vibrant shopping area and wonderful old cinema. And only 1 min's walk to the East Finchley tube station, 20 mins into the centre of London. We work three hours (usually 10-1) daily for 6 days a week and then you are free to do your own ...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

We operate a retreat centre, hosting yoga, art, creative writing, hiking, cooking etc. retreats. Each week we have new groups of 12-20 people coming to stay. We are looking for people to provide kitchen help from March until November. The work consists primarily of preparing and serving tables, cleaning the kitchen and supporting the chef (e.g. chopping vegetables). During the winter we offer a possibility for one or two people to stay and help with garden work and maintenance. For most of this time we are closed to the public, so it is very quiet and not well-suited to someone looking for lots of company. Unlike the spring and autumn seasons, you will need to prepare your own meals. Helpers are expected to provide 30 hours per week, in return for board and accommodation - usually 5 hours per day and one day free each week. This can work well either for people traveling on their own or for two friends traveling together. Preferred stay, minimum 3 weeks. NEXT AVAILABILITY: June ...

Hello! I am looking for someone to be in the house for August and take care of my dog and hamster and garden, and do bits and pieces round the house. My kids are away, I’m in and out, I haven’t finalised my plans. Ideally people with a reference already. Your room is in the attic. It's a lovely room (I used to airbnb it) although the bed is quite small for two. Oh, but it won't suit someone tall, as the walls are sloping! If that sounds as if it would suit you - come stay! I'm looking for three/ four hours help a day with weekends off. When I’m here I will of course provide food . But when you’re there on your own you’ll have to do the shopping! We live in South East London zone 2 in a quiet leafy conservation zone called Telegraph Hill. Nearest overground train is New Cross Gate and Queens Road Peckham. The network Southeast train station is Nunhead. You can be in the West End in 40 minutes door to door, and the East End in about 30 minutes. London's hippest neighbourhood ...

Come and enjoy our farmstay in South West Victoria. We are currently seeking help with caring for our 5 horses, whilst I recover from surgery and Andrew tends to the lambing. Ideally around 6 weeks but you're welcome.to stay longer. We really need someone with horse experience to feed, rug and exercise the horses. It's a little wet on the farm at present but the house is cosy with a wood fire and split system. You'll need gumboots (rubber boots)! Included in your stay is your own private room within the house, all food, fuel for your car or use of our vehicle. Work hours flexible to allow you to explore. We have a variety of helper exchange roles from working with sheep & horses, general farm maintenance to domestic duties such as helping us maintain our house and garden. Language exchange encouraged. We are a family of 4 in an old but comfortable farm house with air con and woodfire. The kids are away at school during the week. Helper accomodation is a comfy bedroom in the fami...

Greetings, I'm Jiro, the owner of Sky Tea House. I used to be a world traveler and after various adventures, I found my way to this beautiful mountain community. After a few years, I met my wife Chai from the Philippines. We now have two lovely children; Kojiro (our cat) and Ryunosuke. We operate a guesthouse and an organic tea farm and host occasional events. We aim to engage people in our village and bring them joy. Our guesthouse, formerly a tea farmer's residence is nestled in the mountains of Yame, a famous tea destination in Japan. After being vacant for many years, it was renovated into a guesthouse in 2017. Originally a backpackers' hostel, it has since attracted visitors from around the globe. DEAL FOR HELPERS: The primary responsibilities of our helpers include housekeeping, assisting with the organic tea farm, helping residents with various tasks, spending time with our children, and house-sitting. Additionally, we welcome collaborative efforts on new projects. If you ha...

We are an anglo-belgian couple retired to France with our 2 horses and miniature shetland pony, our adult daughter lives with us. French additions to our family include 2 dogs and the chickens. We would like to take on helpers to help and participate with everyday life which is getting harder as we get older! Possible jobs include: helping with the horses and miniature pony as a groom (helping mucking out and poo picking daily, feeding, taking them out to fields, grooming, fencing) and work in the garden such as weeding, watering and collecting vegetables. The allocation of work depends on your abilities and skills and the time of year. We live in the French countryside, having your own transport o...

An essential sustainable element to this project is work-exchange itself, as our volunteers have the opportunity to engage with these approaches, learn from them, and experience cultural enrichment not only through a placement at the farm but also through contact with guests from all over the world. A placement here is ideal for volunteers who are looking for a unique work-holiday experience in a friendly , open, and engaging atmosphere. We normally have between 4-6 volunteers between JUNE1-Oct1. If you would like to stay with us 2 weeks to 3 months message us so we can video chat. Volunteers work around 5 hours a day and 2 days off a week if you stay at least a month. We have Bartenders, cleaning staff, barristas and prep cooks. We also stay open in the off-season but we rarely have any guests.

This is a somehow unusual project. Minimal conditions offered, so only for hardened bushcrafters or outdoorsy people.💦🌱🦂🍃🦎 🌳🕸🦅🌳🐝🌳🦌🐌🍃m✨🍃🌱💦🪱🦌Max 3 hours a day volunteering for accommodation only , or 4 to 5 h for food and accommodation. On a steep slope, just at the edge of the huge forests we re trying to build a tree house, and later on an earthship and some other dependence’s. Water systems works also and hopefully access entrances for auto. Working towards a biodiverse, productive, ecological future by applying low tech permaculture techniques.

** Help needed with daily animal related activities, the garden and maybe a little tidying/cleaning in the stables. From 24th May. We are an anglo-belgian couple retired to France with our 2 horses and miniature shetland pony, our adult daughter lives with us. French additions to our family include 2 dogs and the chickens. We are active in the local community and there are often events or meals to attend where French is freely spoken. Horses are a big part of our lives.
