We love meeting new travellers and have been the first stop for many helpers and have enjoyed helping them plan their travels in the north. At the moment it is most convenient to have people stay a week and Mon to Fri suits us best but we can also do longer if that suits also. We have 10 acres and sometimes the accommodation can be a caravan, a cabin or the airbnb that we are in depending on what is happening at the time. Here is the link for our airbnb which we live in when it is not booked - https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/747337338546194095?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=be29e38f-bf27-48a5-819f-cceaa39c4f69. We often have paid guests in the weekends so your accom could be the cabin or caravan on a site above the airbnb site. Recently we have been having our helpx stay in the caravan which is very nice too and on occasion the helpers have worked a full day and then had a full day off when we have guests in the airbnb. Our helpers work for 4 hours of work a day in exchange...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community. We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living at Lotus Ponds change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of ...

The accomodation is a 10'x 20' canopy tent with a plywood floor. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

We are looking for one person or maybe two practical people who can just potter about sorting out some jobs. I want to plant, weed, mulch tidy, build planter, landscape, build 'outdoor lounge', move lime. Soil. Plenty of garden jobs and always clearing and de-cluttering. Pruning. We are home most of the time and just go about doing general jobs on our farm & garden. Would you like to come and join us for a bit? We aim to keep you relaxed, well fed and always included with family activities. It is beautiful here and its started to warm up so we need to get out with some help. Our jobs are totally seasonal and changes from month to month, but focus is on improving the garden, outdoor seating areas, making the most of our beautiful outside. We are a working farm with some really fun lifestyle hobbies. We have a pig, chickens, super friendly dog, cat and a pet peacock. We have a beautiful home set on a hill with a panoramic outlook of our 64 Acre Farm. We live in the beautiful well known...

We are a share house consisting of me, (Hoolia from Argentina), English housemate NiK, and my two boys, (15 and 14yo), during the week and they go to dad's on weekends. We have a lovely house with musical instruments and we are friendly and relaxed. We love music and art and we’d like to host someone kind, genuine and with good social skills. The garden is very big and needs a lot of maintenance, and also we have "La Caravan" needing restoration. We'd love to host people short term, (1 week max) in our small spare room until "La Caravan" is finished and then we can host people for medium to long term. We require 2 hours a day of house and/or garden work that could be arrange in flexible times…(Like 4 hours work everyday 2 days or as convenient). (No food) We prefer if our helpers are independent and cater for themselves. But in case of being young and one person only, we can provide food for another couple of hours work. Ot we could arrange for one more hour of work for one meal a d...

Hi, welcome to St Albans! You will be sharing the house with 2-3 other guests as well as your host. We have a current project of spring cleaning the house, lots of decluttering packing, housecleaning and tidying, and some gardening. We expect 2 hours help per day for accommodation only. If helpers have painting or building skills, it's a real bonus. Shops, cafes, Hagley Park and city centre are all nearby. Good free parking on the street outside the house. The kitchen is available for your use, just bring your own food. Look forward to welcoming you. Vegans and vegetarians extra welcome 🤔 We often have a pot-luck dinner together in the evenings, hope you will join in :-) And if it's cool and rainy, enjoy the wood fire. No smoking, thank you!

Kia ora! Available 12th April - 19th April - message asap ;-)) My home is in the middle of beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native bush, birds and organic gardens (no shops etc.). We built our earth house with local clay and roof gardens. This place is very private; a lifestyle block to enjoy nature and quiet living, 330 km North of Auckland, 20 min from Taipa Beach. The subtropical Far North of Aotearoa/New Zealand has important historic sights. I am also part of the Honeymoon Valley landcare group (honeymoonvalleylandcare.org.nz). We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. You can help with organic gardening, landscaping: mowing, brush-cutting, earth work; firewood, compost-making, renovating (fixing things, basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, general maintenance. I have chickens; make bread; home-brew beer; organic apple cider vinegar, sauerkraut (when in season), preserve fruit, collect seeds, an...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004,it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

Thank you for visiting the profile of our project where we are happy to provide a safe and productive environment to host helpers: Seeking minimum 3 weeks to 1 month commitment. We prefer longer term but will also take shorter term if you have extraordinary skills of some sort. Our farm is 1 hectare sea-front hobby farm project on Isla Colon, located approximately half way between town and Bluff Beach. This project entails gardening, trimming, planting, weeding, starting new plants, and several tasks such as building trellises, building raised beds, other light building, painting, trail building, artistic painting, mosaic etc. For the last 25 years we have been zero waste, and have an assortment of recycled things to fix, upcycle, transform etc. We just built a little glass work studio, where we are learning to make fused glass and stained glass. We have build our second pond and could use some help in the design and initial plumbing of two waterfalls. Most of of the property has bee...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know our lovely city and inner city neighbourhood. I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is a permaculture one but still requries work. There is always weeding, composting and general garden tidying to be done. My home is in Central Auckland in a funky part of town - Grey Lynn. Close to cafes, bars and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I have bikes you can use to get around. You will be inside the house and have your own room. There is space for two people in the room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. They are mostly stay for around a month. Many are Working Holiday Visa people looking to establish themselves in New Zealand. I like to eat together when it suits everyone. Sometimes I will have friends over to visit and we all cook and eat together - it's a busy social house...

“Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I recently bought a very old miner's cottage on a half-acre in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 130 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stood vertical. The cottage will be creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. I have a great 'Gypsie Camp' set up on the block, with canvass and caravan. YOU could learn a lot about the Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building ...AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to HelpX with Donny. ABOUT DONNY: Donny is a real Aussie Character: He is a retired, alternative builder. He is also an event manager, writer, musician, knowledgeable ga...

En français plus bas! Dear Helpers! Need allies for co-creative forestry help and some other projets (40 acres estate , standalone site: water supply from a 1 square meter reservoir, electricity with solar panels, 2.5 hours north of Montreal / 1,5hour from Ottawa) *****Bus is coming to Mont-Laurier, and elsewhere in Laurentians area, we can pick you up and talk about this together! Hello to all forest, nature, and First Nations lovers! I'm looking for dynamic, cheerful and fit people, who love the forest and can work there for some basic development work on a forest estate of over 40 acres (over 16 ha / 1,7000,000 square feet) that I acquired with a member of my family, in the beautiful region of the Hautes Laurentides, very close to the municipality of Mont St-Michel… Yes, like Mont St-Michel in France, but this time, we talk about province of Quebec (Canada)...! Participatory work in progress and to come (depending on the forces of the allies arriving) • Opening of hiking trails...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS please. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 8.35Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cobb pizza oven, chooks/geese, two Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs, a vegetable garden, about 300 fruit trees and a large aqu...

We prefer helpers looking for longer stays and we are looking for someone from mid to end of April. We want our helper to have a great experience and offer us approx 3-4 hrs help in the mornings 5 days of the week. If you are also looking for part-time paid work, we can work around your work hours. There is usually plenty of local part-time work nearby in Kerikeri either fruit picking and packing, laundry services or in cafes, restaurants and hotels. Our house is located on a semi-rural lifestyle property 20 minutes walk, or 3 minutes drive from the Kerikeri township, and an easy walk to nearby markets and cafes. We can collect you from the local bus stop, but a car is useful to see many attractions during your free time. We need help mostly gardening; weeding and digging garden beds, and sometimes painting and other odd jobs. If weather is not good for outside work we may ask for help in the house cleaning. We do not expect experience but you must be able to understand and foll...

Available to host 8th to 26th April ! Looking if possible for people handy with power tools or with carpentry experience, or willing to give it a shot. Our property is situated in the beautiful town of Little River. I was myself a wwoofer here ten years ago! Our family is made of Sébastien, Marine, Maëlys (4 y.o) and Lynx (1 y o). Some tasks may require some strength, while others a keen artistic eye, put your thinking hat on, there are projects that can suits everyone! However in early 2024 we are prioritizing people handy with tools, with carpentry experience or chainsaw experience, to finish a few projects before winter! We expect self motivation and enthusiasm in the tasks but also general help with meals preparation, clearing the table after meals and also looking after the accommodation by keeping it clean and tidy for the next people. Providing food doesn't mean the host does everything! We like to cook together as it's a great time to get to know you and chat.

I'm on a one-man mission to transform an old DDR army barracks into a beautiful off grid vegan paradise. There is much work to be done. The facilities are bare (but improving!). At the minute, I can offer either accommodation only, in exchange for about 8 - 10 hours a week, or a more traditional work-exchange of food and board and all that goes with it in return for 5 hours a day doing the things which need to be done! (I'll supply the food, but you gotts to cooks it!) The barracks are a disused former East German military installation for housing the troops of the inner-German border. I moved in here in March 2019 and, up until recently, have been engaged in a one-man transformative task. I am looking for a person or a couple to house sit for two months over winter. There are log fires, and pigs to feed. Other than that, your time is your own. The Volunteer Suite has 6 comfortable bedrooms and a kitchen. It's clean and cosy. And the warmest part of the barracks due to all the cu...

April 2024 UPDATE: we need mostly people with experience in construction, carpentry and or permaculture. Make sure you read everything before contacting us. We have a cabin in our future planned little Glamping Healing Eco-Resort Project located in the mountains near the border with the USA (San Diego), 30 mins. driving from Tecate, the magic town in the state of Baja California. Our plan is to have a boutique healing center and a place for retreats and workshops, a space for people to meet, learn, relax and explore a holistic life. We are setting up a small organic/permaculture garden. If you are looking for a secluded quiet place, with nature beauty all around, within an environmental preservation zone, your place can be here. We are really looking forward to hosting volunteers who are physically strong, resourceful, creative, hard-working, proactive, skillful, friendly, spiritual, super OPEN MINDED and flexible with a super POSITIVE attitude! Come stay on a honey winery within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Michele and Gregg operate the farm with Gregg's parents. We have a private guest room along with a separate bathroom. Farmhouse has a swimming pool and is very comfortable. Typical tasks include weeding the berry patches, checking on honeybees, organizing the bee yard and the honeyhouse. Canada's premier polo club is within walking distance next door. There you can watch weekly matches from Canada's best players. Fall is the honey harvest time on the farm. We are 35 minutes from downtown Toronto by car but in the middle of 500 acres of farmland. Public transit is a few km away and high speed wifi internet is available throughout. Work for 5 or 6 hrs/day for room and board. 10 day minimum stay. No perfume or cologne allowed. Enjoy your travels and have fun!

Looking for experienced help with- gardening OR basic woodwork skills. I can host an individual or a couple.. Gardening: Weeding and mulching beds in the Rose garden and around the house. Also help on the allotment - clearing paths and maybe helping to plant plants. Possibly make a small wooden frame to cover the raised beds so that I can throw a net over that will stop the deer from eating all my greens! Basic Woodwork. An old oak floor lies beneath the hall carpet and I would really like to strip the carpet and reinstate the oak floor. It has a few marks of paint which need scraping off or a little sanding. Basically it is ok but it needs a clean and then waxing. This could be 2 days work or so. You will feel comfortable here - its a bit like staying in a quirky grand hotel. Frankleigh is a very special place and this is a rare opportunity for me to host as I have been fostering for a couple of years, and I now have 1 month from today when it may be possible to stay here. ...

I live in a spacious 3-bedroom (plus study) home near the beach, with decks (sometimes with partner Te Kenehi). It has a large garden with trees, a lawn & vege garden, and it is very near to QEII park or reserve and the coast with great views of Kapiti Island. There are shops within an 8 min walk. Hope you like music, biking and swimming! Two and a half hours of help per nights accommodation, or three hours with food included. Tasks needing doing are gardening, preparing and painting of deck and possibly roof. I'm a free-lance writer/researcher (Maori/European)and would be happy to share some insights. :-)

I’m looking for help FROM April running a small café on the beautiful Sheep`s Head Peninsula in West Cork. BY THE SEA IN A WALKER'S PARADISE. This is an opportunity to meet other international travellers, of all ages, in the café who enjoy nature, walking, cycling or are just interested in relaxing by sea. CAN YOU HELP WITH The cafe opens from the start of April to the end of September and we would love someone who has experience in serving, making food and using a coffee machine. If you have any experience in hospitality it would be an advantage, but not necessary. We will be needing help in the cafe some of the days, There are also jobs to be done like painting, tending to vegetables, feeding the chickens, and general maintenance when the café isn't busy or is closed. LOCATION Although this is a wild and rural area, there's plenty of culture on the peninsulas; pubs, restaurants, fishing, music and an array of festivals happening close by throughout the year. The quaint seasi...

In the beautiful hills of Tuscany, we live in a stone house, inherited from grandpa, we are very happy with this place as it is, but we love to share and grow together with other people. Througout the winter we have been mostly busy with prepairing lots of different foods and drinks *kombucha, kefir, sourdough, cakes, homemade pastas etc etc. Now that spring is coming we start to prepair the garden again and we would love some help with that. There are lots of other things to do as well, since we are not very strict in time and organisation, we fit well with volunteers who like to feel free and know how to take initiative. If you have ideas to contribute to our project, we would really appriciate that. The number of people living in the house varies; sometimes I can be the two of us or there can be friends of the project and volunteers We are devoloping different projects: permaculture gardening, self sufficiency technology, fermentations and healthy food culture and sharing. In this ...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help/day for the room only and provide your own food, or we can provide meals for you, and you help us for four hours/day. Our home is surrounded by nature and some of Nelson's best mountain biking and walking tracks. We are two friendly people, some chickens and a cat. Our home is in easy walking distance of Nelson city centre, but it is quiet and private. It's like being in the country. There's a good mix of things to do: Looking after garden and trees, house and each other, making music, preserving fruit, generally enjoying life. We can talk to you in English, French or German. We like to share meals with helpers. We love to feed you (and love being cooked for by you, too!). If you want to teach us a song from your country, that would make us happy. The Most Important thing we hope for in a Helper is that they want to enjoy their stay with us, are open to make contact and to learn. We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - have had m...

In this ...

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We have turned our farm into a petting zoo and Airbnb. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) Shane:) We are looking for help with: - Daily chores which includes feeding and watering all the animals. -...
