A large two level beach house just 100m from the surf. I moved from Sydney in March 2020 at the beginning of Covid lockdown! I set up a photography studio, renovated the pool and garden area, with plans to including a small fruit & veggie garden/pod out the back. I will eventually offer the room you stay in for weekends on Airbnb from late 2024. Generally, I only host one person, this is a beach house in a resort area not a farm, there is generally not enough work for more than one on a daily basis but if you have IT or media skills I'm always up for help. I generally host a helper for ONE week, only longer if you have specific skills and/or we have an excellent connection. You will have your own large very comfortable air-conditioned bedroom and private bathroom on the first floor, with access to TV and Netflix and use a bicycle and the private pool. I look for up to three hours of daily assistance from helpers, offering some basic food/cooking supplies, coffee and tea, but thi...

Hi there Traveler We are a gay couple who offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so its starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Also we are developing a small reserve that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as its safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

If you’re interested in helping on an Andalusian horse and beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have about 10 horses who needs to be checked and some fed each day. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with metal or wood that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the horses in the morning and evening, as well as rugging and caring for the mares and foals, gardening and general farm chores. Depending on your level of experience you may be able to ride/training the Andalusian horses, breeding and handling foals. The horses live in big paddocks, so you don’t have to muck out. For those who are not that experienced with horses you can help around the farm, gardening or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choos...

After my husband died in 2022 I am living with my daughter Bess (22) maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. She lives in one of the buildings on the property. We live on an urban block in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks around me and my property is close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and weeding. All jobs are able to be done in 4 hours or less.

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the helps I would like to ask to you, those who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I, 66 years old male, not vaccinated for COVID-19, have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I`m interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well as yoga and massage. My house has natural hot spring so that you are free to e...

Kia ora Helpxers, We invite you to come and be our Helpxer/s and enjoy our wonderful, warm and sunny location with a spectacular view of Tasman Bay. Our place is just 7km from central Nelson. The Nelson Tasman region is a very popular region for travellers, with access to the Abel Tasman National Park being just over an hour away. From our place you can ride the bicycle trail into town taking about 20 minutes, or there is a bus stop not far away or even better if you have your own transport. We designed and built our house, constructed from Adobe Earth Blocks, a sustainable eco-friendly method of building, using local materials such as clay and straw, it keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coolest. Our preference is to host you for up to one week or more if it suits. We ask for four hours each day but are flexible for longer days and then take a day or so off to explore our beautiful region. We have a few projects on the go, such as internal adobe wall plas...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  The yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota where we are renovating her while helping with work on Joyelle. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House this is not possiable while Joyelle is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the ho...

We live in a small eco village set high on a hill above the Motueka Valley. The property is surrounded in native bush and has a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood. There are stunning views out to the Tasman Bay and some lovely walking tracks to enjoy. The river is at the bottom of the hill and has some great swimming spots. We are 15 mins from Motueka and 30 mins from the Abel Tasman National Park. My husband and I are professionals who work part time (one of us from home). We are keen for some help landscaping, vege gardening and general cleaning and maintenance around our house. We look forward to meeting you!

Our property lies between the Chapman River Sanctuary and Lashmar’s Lagoon Sanctuary, about 600 meters from Antechamber Bay, one of the largest, most pristine and undisturbed beaches on Kangaroo Island’s coast. It is often windy, but rarely very hot or very cold. Nice Planets is not a hotel, backpacker or holiday accommodation. Rather we provide accommodation, meals, transport to and from the ferry and opportunities to experience the local community and environment. In return you provide around 4 hours of work contribution per day, plus help to prepare meals, and look after your accomodation including cleaning on departure. We endeavour to show volunteers around the Island's attractions, weather and time permitting. As music lovers we particularly welcome people who can play a musical instrument. We also welcome applications from people of all ages and countries. Likely tasks are seasonal and may include planting and watering tree seedlings, weeding, cutting timber, building enclosu...

We are a dad & daughter (16) with a loving, crazy Airedale, living on a 60 acre mountain top with distant 360 degree views of both the Green & White Mountains. From sunrise to sunset we are having fun and loving the land, with tons of hiking/biking trails, and a nearby connection to a 25 mile network. There's generally a refreshing breeze here, but when it gets too warm we head down to our stream & spring fed pond, which is a piece of heaven -- deep and cool. Our whole mountain is magical, with strong meridians, and located in a very artsy & progressive part of southern Vermont. And yes, there's a lot involved in being good stewards, even though we are not a commercial farm, so we have many diverse projects, and you might assist in managing our generous garden, making meals, clearing land, nurturing the flower beds, painting, bucking up or stacking firewood, routine cleaning & maintenance, doing arts & music with Luna, or building a steam hut or other structures, for several hours mos...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and has hosted HELPXers for over ten years it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley 11km from Midland and 15km from the Perth airport. There are 3,000 vines in the vineyard, a large house we live in, a machinery shed and a winery/distillery on the property. A large spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for stays are open now from December 1st. Mature couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard and winemaking work. During the season generally, there are outdoor activities, ie winery and vine work plus gardening if it is not raining or too HOT. Be prepared to cook meals for everyone. Being able to drink organic wine is highly recommended. If you are a fast food junky, d...

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. We are regularly being booked 3 to 4 months in advance with mostly long-term guests. This should not deter you to ask anyway as booked helpers sometimes cancel their spot. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2-hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, flower beds, lawns as well as a goat on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. Bernward is semi-retired but still runs a sustainable architecture and building consultancy business part time from offices attached to the home. Barbara works a...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Theo & Emma have departed after their second stay with us. They loved working on the property and were really good at helping in the many gardens we have so after travelling for a while they came back for another month. So the cottage is now available if you would like to experience South Gippsland. We are looking for help to prepare our gardens for the visit of two bus loads of participants of the national conference of the Australian Plants Society in late September, so now only two weeks to get everything looking great! Update: the two bus loads of conference participants have come and gone. Everybody was amazed at our property and the huge variety of plants growing very successfully. BUT Spring is here and the plants are growing furiously as well as the weeds. The weather is becoming sunny and pleasant (most days!) so outside work is ok. So if you are interested in helping us in this little pocket of paradise for a few weeks then please contact us. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF S...

Hi lovely people, Our semi-off-grid and remote bush sanctuary (one hour's drive from Macksville, our nearest town) is looking for helpers. I've been away for several months, and the place has become overgrown. I would love some help with the tidy-up. People usually come for anything between 5 days and 3 weeks. The property is managed by me, Jojo, with my son Jakob and friends helping out. We have fast-speed internet via satellite on the roof. We work 4-5 hours a day. With more physically demanding jobs like whipper snipping, clearing lantana, or brush cutting we work 4 hours, while other jobs are 5 hours. Weekends are for relaxation, adventures, and sightseeing. I can pick you up from Macksville and drop you at the train station in Macksville or Nambucca Heads. The work here is mainly whipper-snipping, pruning, cutting back overgrown jasmine, planting herbs in pots, mowing, mulching, painting and creating paths with river rocks in the veggie garden. When it rains we work ...

Hi lovely Helpxers. ** Update October 2024** Hope you are all keeping safe and well and having great adventures! Well the Spring/early Summer growth is in full swing and there's plenty to do in the gardens! , I prefer Helpers to stay a minimum of one week. That gives you time to "land", orient and get to know the village , as you might end up helping more than one household. I enjoy hosting one or two people with practical skills and enthusiasm to help with the current projects, eg building projects support,DIY repairs, firewood, gardens, tree care. Onel arrangment is 4 - 5 hours help a day in exchange for two meals plus accommodation. The other option is 2 hours/day mahi/work in exchange for accommodataion and you are self-catering. However no two days are the same and the exchange arrangement is very flexible, depending on the weather, priorities and includes time for you to do your own thing. You need to bring your own breakfast foods, and other supplies for the self-catering day...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen workers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. We have a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat. We eat shared meals, most meals are vegetarian. Type of jobs: farm and garden work, combined with learni...

We are looking for one person or maybe two practical people who can just potter about sorting out some jobs. The jobs I have are feeding animals peacock, chickens, pig, sheep. Then I’m keen on some gardening and tidying up some wood. I’d also like to re-organise my entire implement shed to make a more workable space. I want to plant, weed, mulch, tidy the outdoor space. Plenty of garden jobs and always clearing and de-cluttering and Pruning. We are home most of the time and just go about doing general jobs on our farm & garden. Would you like to come and join us for a bit? We aim to keep you relaxed, well fed and always included with family activities. It is beautiful here and the Tui’s are here on mass. Cold but sunny. Lots to do before winter sets in so we need to get outside with some help. Our jobs are totally seasonal and changes from month to month, but focus is on improving the garden, outdoor seating areas, making the most of our beautiful outside. We are a working farm wi...

Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...
